Overview

After the invention of the inflatable screen ("AIRSCREEN") in 1994 the founders of the AIRSCREEN Company operated drive-in theaters and outdoor movies in different cities in Germany and some neighboring countries using this unique inflatable product. Over the years the demand for inflatable screens both for rental and sale grew tremendously.

In the year 2001 the first inflatable screen was exported to the USA marking the first step in going international. In México since 2003 until today Guadalajara International Film Festival uses AIRSCREEN to show outdoor movies in different "barrios" in and around the city. In May 2004 the World premiere of the Dreamworks motion picture Shark Tale on St. Mark's Square in Venice was shown on a 100 ft x 66 ft (30m x 20m) AIRSCREEN - by that time the largest inflatable screen in the World [2]. Also as a consequence of this many major film festivals like Cannes Film Festival, Cambridge Film Festival[3], Dubai International Film Festival or Traverse City Film Festival[4] [5] use AIRSCREEN inflatable screens to show their movies outdoors in unique locations - many times even right on a beautiful beach.
